The purpose of this study is to explore the current state of understanding and implementation of quasi-public education policies for preschool parents in central Taiwan. A self-developed questionnaire was used for the research to survey preschool parents' understanding and implementation of quasi-public education policies. A stratified random sampling method was used to select 1,040 quasi-public preschool parents from five counties and cities in the central Taiwan. A total of 870 samples were valid. The data were processed and analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent and dependent sample t-test, multivariate ANOVA, and the Pearson product-moment correlation. The conclusions are as followings: 1.Preschool parents in central Taiwan show a medium to high degree of understanding about quasi-public education. They know best of "charging standards." They show a medium to high degree attitude toward the implementation of quasi-public education and strongly agree with "influence level." 2.They show significant differences in their understanding of quasi-public education policies depending on their "age," "education levels," "average monthly household income," "identity," and "region of preschool." 3.Similarly, preschool parents show significant differences in their attitude regarding the implementation of quasi-public education policies depending on "age," "region of preschool, " "additional after-school stay fee," and "additional talent fee." 4.There is a significant positive correlation between preschool parents "understanding" and "implementation" of quasi-public education. |
