英文摘要 |
The Executive Yuan of our country once passed the "Blueprint for the Development of a Bilingual Country Policy", aiming to make Taiwan a bilingual country by 2030. English is not only a foreign language, but also a global language. How Taiwan can improve its English communication skills so that Taiwan can have a competitive advantage in a globalized environment is worth paying attention to. In particular, Taiwan’s international status and situation are relatively special and difficult, and it is often difficult for Taiwan to take part in international affairs. If the English communication ability of Taiwan’s people can be improved, it will be beneficial to the international stage to speak for Taiwan. In terms of bilingual education literature, there are already some related researches in place. The so-called "stones of other mountains can be used to attack mistakes", such as the Netherlands, which is widely recognized as a successful bilingual education in the world, and Singapore in Asia, should have places for Taiwan to learn from, regarding their related policies. The purpose of this research includes: (1) understanding the meaning of bilingual education, related theories and research; (2) analyzing international cases of bilingual education; (3) making relevant recommendations. After analyzing the bilingual education cases in the Netherlands and Singapore, suggestions for improving English communication skills in Taiwan are provided further in this study. |
