Case Method Instruction is used in the innovative teaching by university teachers to help students solve practical problems and has been recognized its’effectiveness by many educational practitioners. 'Case Method Instruction' is based on using teaching cases, through the process of discussion by teacher and students to help students understanding the teaching content and cultivating the ability of students to solve practical problem. The purpose of the study is to investigate the teaching and learning process of pre-service teachers’Principles and Practice in Guidance and Counseling Program using the Case Method Instruction (CMI). Based on the concept of action research, researchers define the content of 'Case Method Instruction' in the Program, and design examples that can be used in the Program. Second, the researcher explains the execution strategies of 'Case Method Instruction'. Then the researcher analyzes the results of surveys on students’opinion about teaching effectiveness and interviews by focus group. Finally, the researcher reflects on the teaching process and results of action research. The suggestions and application of CMI also be discussed. |
