1950年代《雷震日記》中的「反對黨」與胡適－－一個數位人文的分析

The Research of Hu Shih and Opposition Party in Lei Chen’s Diary: An Analysis of Digital Humanities

"探討特定人物的思想主張，固然從他撰寫的文字中進行分析是最重要的途徑，但是從另一個層面來看，檢視他的具體作為也是分析他思想主張的另一個重要側面，甚至透過他的具體作為更可以呈現思想主張尋求實踐落實的內涵。 因此，本文以《雷震日記》記載的胡適與反對黨的關係作為研究的主題，在某種意義上也正可以呈現，胡適在1950年代臺灣反對黨運動主張中的角色及歷史的定位。早在中華民國政府敗退到臺灣之前，胡適就是國民黨黨內抱持民主反共人士，或是在尋求在國民黨外另建政治組織的政治人物心目中的理想領導人選，在臺灣的歷史脈絡中，無論是臺灣本土菁英或是來自中國大陸的自由派菁英，在尋求成立反對黨或是政治團體，乃至於要在國民黨外建立一個支持蔣介石採取民主反共路線的團體，胡適的角色始終舉足輕重。但是，胡適在二次大戰之後與蔣介石的關係也相當密切，支持蔣介石，特別是在與中國共產黨的對抗中支持蔣介石及其領導的國民黨當局，是胡適重要的價值取向。 胡適對兩黨政治或是對反對黨運動的主張，對於戰後臺灣反對黨運動而言是一個重要的動力，而他始終不願意參加在臺灣組織的反對黨，更遑論擔任反對黨的領袖，這也影響了臺灣反對黨運動的發展，失去了胡適的保護傘，反對黨運動繼續發展的結果不免遭到國民黨當局的打壓，而胡適終究只能扮演雷震案爆發後採取聲援或某種程度援助的歷史角色。"

"In the past, humanities scholars considered textual analysis as a major approach to study the concept of a policy and its opinions in regard to historical figures. With the increasing usage of digital humanities, the application of digital humanities to ideology analysis has become more critical. In this paper, I will use Digital Humanities method to discuss “Hu Shih,” the term with the highest word frequency in Lei Chen’s Diary. The result suggested that Lei Chen assumed that Hu Shih’s great fame could be used as a kind of protective shield for the infant Opposition party, which was called Chinese Democratic Party. However, Hu Shih supported the planning and organization of the opposition party but had no interest in its practical management. After Lei Chen was arrested in 1960 on Chiang Kai-shek’s order, despite Hu Shih’s endeavor to save Lei, it was to no avail."
