由文獻整理臺灣常見之果實蠅科背寡毛實蠅屬的6種果實蠅種類之檢索表，及配以特徵圖而成圖索表，以便田間鑑別辨識之用，為便於了解，更將各部位特徵之術語說明重製附圖。

"A pictorial key to 6 common species of the genus Bactrocera from Taiwan was constructed by reviewing articles and bringing together some pictures of taxonomic characters. This should be useful as a field guide. In addition, the terminology of the morphological characters is illustrated by modifying previous work."
