"The researchers investigated the teacher education program at a historical university in Northern Taiwan from 2007 to 2019, when its internationalization has sprouted and developed. Both researchers were insiders because they continuously lead international projects at the case program. First, they used the outbound and the inbound phases to narrate, then they turned to the base of intercultural competencies and 'people curriculum'. Narrations were supported by reflections of involved student teachers and professors. From the perspective of this case, it was obvious that Taiwanese government’s International Education policy has unleashed positive effect. However, the budget for teacher education programs needed to be increased. The authors were grateful to learn about many related efforts in private sectors, which have made positive impact. The authors reflected and felt intercultural competencies could be emphasized more in the future." |
