道家的生態思想析論

Ecology and Daoism

本文主張：生態學不只是科學，而且也是思想。作為思想，生態學並不是建立在「主客對立」的模式上，也不是建立在「因果依待」的模式上。而這兩種模式是一般人的思想都離不開的模式，卻是道家極欲擺脫的模式。經由生態學，我們可以輕易擺脫上述兩種思想模式的束縛，由此而發展出截然不同的思想。唯有如此，道家的「無為」、「玄德」……等奇特的觀念，才可以得到充分的了解。由此看來，生態學可以說是開啟了通往道家思想之門。

This text advocates: Ecology is not only science, but also a way of thinking. As a thought, Ecology is not established in a“subject vs object”methodology. Neither is it a“cause vs. effect”methodology. These two ways are the foundation of common people’s thoughts, which they cannot discard, but Taoists want to abandon them. Through Ecology, we can abandon the two methodologies easily, and develop a completely different thought pattern, as Taoists have already done. Therefore, it can be said that Ecology opens the door of Taoism.
