Persist under turbulent times:Study of ''New Road Weekly''

《新路周刊》於西元1948年5月15日創刊於北平,發行至是年12月18日停刊，共出刊2卷6期。《新路》是「中國社會經濟研究會」的機關刊物，作者群陣容堅強，網羅不少華北學術界領袖，如吳景超、潘光旦、劉大、蔣碩傑、樓邦彥、邵循正、那慕寰、周炳琳、蕭乾、汪曾祺、楊振聲等碩學鴻儒。《新路》作為該組織之言論喉舌，其創刊之最大特色為，贊成和反對馬列主義的文章均可同時發表。換言之，即對國、共兩黨均持批判立場，其一方面批評蔣介石和國民黨；另方面亦對共產黨及共產主義持懷疑態度。該刊內容有＜短評＞、＜論壇＞、＜辯論＞、＜專論＞、＜通訊＞、＜文藝＞、＜書評＞、＜經濟學識淺談＞、＜讀者來書＞、＜我們的意見＞等，主要以評論政府的政治、財經政策為主。《新路》在動盪時代下的堅持，其直言敢言，不作左右的言論立場，最終不見容於國、共當局，其被迫停刊的下場是可想而知的。然它又是以華北高級知識份子為主體的刊物，在社會上的影響力不容小覷，故其批評言論，朝野雙方亦甚為重視。基本上，《新路》周刊為一帶有自由主義色彩的刊物，和儲安平主編的《觀察》，可說是當時期刊界的雙璧。
