在美國的身心障礙者教育法案中，音樂治療作為相關服務對特殊教育兒童提供說明已行之有年。音樂治療在特殊教育領域的實踐與應用，也開始更多的被關注。通過對音樂治療及國外特殊教育領域中音樂治療情況進行介紹，說明瞭解音樂治療學科專業性。同時針對音樂治療結合IEP的工作模式、治療基本程式介紹、治療目標設置的呈現，以及音樂治療師的作用，說明介紹音樂治療在特殊教育領域的運用，以促進音樂治療與特殊教育學科領域及實際臨床執行推廣上有更多合作為目的。

Music Therapy is considered a related service under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA ) for many years. Special Education is one of the most important areas for the music therapists in the clinical work. Via introduce the definition of Music Therapy and the situation in other country, to clarify how the music therapy applied to the children with special needs in the school. When music therapy is deemed necessary to assist a child benefit from children’s special education, goals are documented on the Individualized Education Program (IEP) as a related service intervention. Music therapy can b e an integral component in helping the child with special needs attain educational goals identified by his/her IEP team. Through this article to understand how Music Therapy can apply in the special education and expect to cooperate in the further.
