speech sound disorders have different names in the literature, including articulation disorders, phonological disorders, etc., which are collectively referred to as speech sound disorder (SSD) in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-V (DSM-5). Studies in Taiwan have shown that four to six years old is a critical period for speech sound disorders correction. If not corrected in time, there will be short-term and long-term risks in speech development, psychology and behavior. Parents of children with speech sound disorders have often complained that they are reluctant to practice after returning home, so they feel that their children are slow to progress and difficult to generalizatiom. According to a survey conducted by the Inter-Market Market Research Consultant in December 2018, Taiwan’s use of smart phones reached 82.8%. The study also shows that the learning motivation of digital learning has a positive and significant impact on learning outcomes. Therefore, this study intends to integrate the teaching materials into the APP, so that parents can assist the children in speech sound training at home, thereby improving speech intelligibility. |
