聾人文化概要

A Summary of Deaf Culture

文化的意思，是一群人互相交流在範圍與學習的行為而一個社會每人分工合作。聾人文化與一般文化的不同，往往會造成文化的衝突。除了筆者以外，無聾人文化研究專家，目前並無任何文獻可考。聾人文化的意義是指一群聾人共同分享價值觀的文化，而文化的分享首重於手語溝通，成為群體凝聚力與團體意識的基礎。文化部舉辦「國家語言發展法」草案公聽會，將手語也納入國家語言發展法，保障母語平權及發展。在回歸主流教育中，聽障生被教導使用唇語，他們因不諳手語，和聾人間產生隔閡；但其唇語又無法與聽常人順利的溝通。「回歸主流」個別程度之不同，其對外之溝通上，雖較之使用手語者，會日漸回流至手語族群，內心則會有種歸屬感。聾人保有自己的固有文化，讓這樣優美的文化不至於湮滅。
