This article is to study the nursing process of pituitary tumor patient feeling anxiety in pre-surgery andcontracting diabetes insipidus in post-surgery. The nursing period was from 4/16 to 4/27 in 2006. By usingobservation and direct nursing, performed with empathy, companion, and care to establish a good nursingpatientrelationship. Roy'sAdaptationModel was as used structure of nursing concepts to evaluate the patientand determine the nursing problems. This showed the condition of anxiety, potential danger of falls, and the lackof diabetes insipidus knowledge. According to the behavior and root causes influencing the patient, propernursing process was applied to this case. This improved the patient's mental and physical states, and helpedtake care of diabetes insipidus after returning home. This nursing experience can be a reference for nursingstaff in the future clinical nursing cases. |
