Documenting the Memory: The Planning and Implementation of Oral Histories in Archives

口述歷史可記錄弱勢邊緣的聲音，可補充歷史文獻與檔案材料的不足，亦能以鮮活史料記錄方式留存社會記憶。有鑑於口述歷史工作對於檔案館的重要性，本文歸納文獻所述，說明口述歷史訪談前置準備工作與訪談實施過程，簡述訪談紀錄之整理與應用，並概述國外口述史計畫推動概況，最終歸納結論與建議，提供我國檔案機構未來進行口述歷史工作規劃之參考。

Oral histories can give voice to those who have been silenced or ignored. Oral histories also can interpret the fragments of historical documents and archives in a lively way to record public memory. Respecting the value of oral histories to archives, this paper summarizes the principles and best practices for pre-interview preparation, the conduct of the interview, and the management and use of oral histories. The Oral historical programs in abroad are also explained. Finally, the conclusions and suggestions are proposed for archival institution to reference.
