由於近年來在資訊技術的革新，連帶促使全球的各項產業升級化，這一波的風潮被稱之為「數位化」。數位科技的快速轉變，讓我們在接觸與學習數位知識時，總覺永遠跟不上它的進步。過去的一百年，整個世界都使用柯達產品來紀錄我們的生活周遭和歷史。當美國柯達公司宣布倒閉重整，讓我們深刻體會到，數位革命已徹底改變規則，誰跟不上它的轉變，就會跟著失去市場。電影數位化的歷程就等於是去膠片化的歷程，那些紀錄在膠片上的影音如何被以數位方式觀賞與再利用，就成為一個重要的課題。本文不在探討媒材轉換的技術與工程問題，而希望傳達膠片影像轉換到數位媒體時，如何兼顧影音的品質與保存的重要性。

Computer technologies have been evolving in recent years. Thus, various industries have been upgrades which is known as the trend of digitalization globally. Digitalization technologies have been rapidly changing that make us hardly follow up with the speed. The whole world kept records regarding our life, circumstances and histories using Kodak products in around the past 100 years. While bankruptcy of Kodak was announced, the digital revoloution has completely turn the convention upside down, whcih inspired us that those who do not follow the trend will lose the whole market. Digital conversion on films means celluloid obsolescence in which implies records reuse become a important issue. This article does not focus on the technologies and engineering problems in media migration, but it would like to convey messages about the importance of how to maintain the quality of audio-video media preservation in conversion.
