Digital content curation addresses one’s engagement with online information searching, filtering, reviewing and curating to generate issue-based content integrated with personal opinion and perspective on the aggregated information resources. This study proposed a conceptual framework of digital content curation, and investigated learners’ digital content curation activities of exploring social-scientific issues. Forty-five college students in southern Taiwan were recruited, and on-screen capture was employed to record their activities exhibited in performing digital content curation. The proposed framework of digital content curation was employed to code the behaviors of digital content curation, and the method of cluster analysis was conducted to the analyses of the students’ behavioral patterns of digital content curation. The findings reveal that college students possessed various behaviors of digital content curation, as well as exhibited three behavioral patterns. We further provide suggestions and discussion about the potential of digital content curation for E-learning. |
