從笛卡兒到康德，西方近現代哲學建構了主體性的哲學範式，人成了確定無疑的主體。隨著語言哲學的興起，主體範式日趨衰落，從哲學到文學領域，充斥著主體死亡的情結。作者中心主義隨著主體範式的興衰而興衰，主體範式的興起建構了創造性的作者，而主體範式的衰落使作者淪為功能作者。作者之創造不再是人格的表現、個性的表達，作者不再是實際執筆者，作者淪落為一種話語實踐與功能性表達。民間文學作品、孤兒作品、作者商標化意味著著作權領域中作者的終結、意味著作者中心主義的衰退。

From Descartes to Kant，the western philosophy constructed the philosophical paradigm of subjectivity and Man become the subject without doubt.With the rise of the philosophy of language，the subjectivity paradigm is gradually declining.From philosophy to literature there is full of the complex of death of the subjectivity.Authorcentrism appear and decline with the rising and falling of the subjectivity paradigm.The prosperity of the subjectivity paradigm construct creative author，and the decline of the subjectivity paradigm make author become functional author.The creation of author is no longer expression of personality of author.Author become a kind of discourse practice and functional expression.Folk literature works,orphan works and author trademark mean the end of author in the field of copyright and decline of authorcentrism.
