A ubiquitous learning system which consists of an online learning system based on the Moodle platform and a mobile device with the augmented reality (AR) learning system is designed in this research. The purposes of this study focuses on the learning effect of local folk religions’ culture learning with the AR learning system and satisfaction of using the AR learning system function in college students. The mixed-methods research was used in this study, which includes Quasi-experimental study and embedded qualitative interview to enquire the changing process in this study. Both the experimental group and control group college students take classroom teaching combined with a ubiquitous learning system, and an online learning system is also used to allow students to access multimedia teaching materials at home. The experiential group students use AR learning system with mobile device for outdoor situated learning, and the control group students do visiting and observing outdoor situated learning. According to the analyses of statistic and interview data, the results as fellow: 1. The AR learning system designed by this study can promote college students’ folk religions’ culture learning effect, and to enhance their concern awareness and recognition of the intangible cultural heritage in community; 2. the college students’ satisfaction of AR learning system is located between “satisfaction” and “very satisfaction.” The suggestions for further research including: Planning innovative applications to assist college students with different learning topics situated learning with AR learning system; Strengthen the identification of learning and system’s interface design in AR system. |
