This study found that the researches about school moral leadership are mainly about primary and secondary schools but about kindergartens are very few. Many scholars believe that multiple dimensions are best while assessing moral leadership. The current measurement instruments of moral leadership are mainly from enterprise field, are they appropriate for kindergartens? This study adopted in-depth interview together with past literature. The purpose was to find the dimensions suitable for moral leadership of kindergarten principals and set up a scale for it. The main findings are, first, the scale of moral leadership of kindergarten principals has good reliability, convergent validity, discriminant validity and criterion-related validity; second, the testing result of five competing models shows that second-order and four-factor model is the best that is moral leadership of the kindergarten principals is composed by humanity and care, fairness and justice, moral cultivation and professional morality. |
