經濟全球化似乎是未來發展的趨勢。但經濟全球化並未意味著放棄地方或政治。本文的目的是在強調政治與經濟存在著不可分離的關係。換言之，「沒有經濟這樣的東西，只有政治經濟」。本文總共分為七小節：首先是前言；其次，辨別全球化的意義及相關概念；第三節討論世界金融市場是否已經發展完善並達到完全自我調節的地步，即經濟學所說的「巴瑞圖最佳境界」；第四節分析「新」經濟的意義及其來臨的可能性；第五節試圖釐清經濟與政治之間的不可分離性；第六節則探討經濟全球化與國家之間的關係；最後提出結論。

Economic globalization seems to be the trend of the future. However, economic globalization does not mean that the local and politics should be abandoned or given up. The purpose of this paper is to emphasize that there is an inseparable relationship between politics and economy. In other words, ''there is no such thing as an economy. There is only political economy.'' The following is divided into seven parts: first, the introduction; second, the meaning of globalization and the related concepts; third, the discussion of whether the world financial market has been well-developed and has become the self-regulating market, i.e., the Pareto optimality in terms of economic concept; forth, the analysis of the meaning of ''new'' economy and the possibility of the new era of economy; fifth, the clarification of the inseparable relationship between politics and economy; sixth, a close look at the relationship between economic globalization and the state; finally, the conclusion.
