The quality of teachers determines the development of education. The research constructs better models for teacher education of elementary school teachers with the perspectives of practitioners. The results show the multiple institutions for teacher education. Teachers' colleges continue educative tradition; while universities emphasize on academic aspects more. There are various models for teacher education such as academic type, practical type, technical type, general type and research-oriented type. It takes mental ability, knowledge system, and social consciousness to develop a teacher's educative specialties. The objective is student-oriented and self-regulated learning. 5W1H, ISM, AHP, and GRA are applied in this research to graphically present the structure of educational thoughts. |
