台商投資與大陸台資集中區經濟發展──基於面板資料模型分析

Taiwanese Investment and Economic Development in the Taiwan-invested Concentrated Areas-An Empirical Study Based on the Panel Data Approach

本研究利用1994-2008年8個省市的面板資料，對台商投資對台資集中區的經濟發展效應進行探討。研究結果表明，台商投資對台資集中區的經濟增長存在正效應，台商投資對其就業產生積極的影響；台商投資對其出口貿易與進口貿易均有顯著的正向影響，表明台商投資能有效地帶動台資集中區的進出口貿易；台商投資對台資集中區第一產業、第二產業和第三產業均有顯著的正向影響，表明台商投資能有效地帶動其三大產業的發展，促進其產業結構的升級。

This paper uses panel data approach to analyze the effect of Taiwanese investment on economic development in the Taiwan-invested concentrated areas with a panel data of eight regions over the period of 1991-2008. The results reveal that first Taiwanese investment has a significant positive effect on economic growth in Taiwan-invested concentrated areas. Second, Taiwanese investment has a significant positive impact on employment. Third, Taiwanese investment has a significant positive impact on export and import. Fourth, Taiwanese investment has a significant positive impact on the primary, secondary and tertiary industry.
