A comparison of intellectual and personality characteristics of polimyelitis and normal children in an orphanage environment

From a recently unpublished M. A. thesis, some thorough investigations have been done on the physically handicapped children's education in Taiwan(2) It raised a big problem which needs to be solved. Yet, before taking any further steps on special education, the author feels that an objectively understanding handicapped children's personalities and the circumstances which they are faced is more important than hurrily providing some already-made educational policies or administrations which are used in other places. There are many researches and literatures having been done in the physically handicapped group. Physically handicapped persons are found to have a great variant characteristics, from inferior deviates to functionally capable group.
