In order to establish the Rorschach norms of the Chinese adults and to compare them cross-nationally, an extensive normative study of Rorschach responses was embarked upon in Taiwan (Formosa) in 1960 under the collaboration of members of Taida Rorschach Research Group organized in the Department of Psychology, National Taiwan University. Three papers of this normative study were successively published, dealing respectively with (1) normal details (Yang, Su, Hsu, and Hwang, 1962), (2) popular responses (Yang, Tzuo, and Wu, 1963), and (3) number of responses and number of refusals (Yang, Tsai, and Hwang, 1963). As the fourth one of the series, this paper primarily concerns itself with providing Chinese norms of some Rorschach time variables and making comparisons between these norms and those of other national groups so as to gain understanding of some Chinese personality traits in a relative sense. |
