從高雄硫酸錏公司文化性資產探討高硫步上成長之路

The Discussion of the KASC to the Path of Growth from Numerous Cultural Heritages of the KASC

高雄硫酸錏公司（簡稱「高硫」）是生產硫酸錏（學名為「硫酸銨」）的化學肥料工廠，於民國39年成立一直至民國92年公司清算走入歷史，共52年。本研究從高硫公司所遺留下來眾多的文化性資產中，耙梳出該公司存在的52年歲月中的發展歷程。該公司在民國39年，適逢戰後百廢待興艱困的年代中開始創立，歷經三次的擴建增產，讓硫酸錏產能達到全國最高。高硫除了生產硫酸錏肥料外，並將營業範圍伸展到不同領域，包括成立花蓮氮肥廠、擎天神炸藥廠，使得該公司在民國57~62年年間，其產量、營收及獲利達到公司的頂峰。能讓高硫在這麼艱困的年代締造佳績，掌舵者黃朝輝博士（1899~1964 年，民國53年11月病逝美國）功不可沒，在所有的訪談中可以看到所有的受訪者皆對黃總經理的感激與不捨，分析黃博士帶領高硫步上成長之路的脈絡，有以下特質（一）製程彈性。（二）利用人脈、爭取經費、廣結人緣。（三）投資眼光精準。（四）重視人員培育。（五）政策配合。高硫就是在黃朝輝博士具特質的領導風格及當時政策因素配合下，一步步邁向成長之路。

Kaohsiung Ammonium Sulfate Corporation, LTD (KASC) was a chemical fertilizer factory that made Ammonium Sulfate fertilizer. KASC was established in 1940 and closed in 2003. The cultural heritages of the KASC can help to reveal the characteristics and development of KASC from 1968 to 1973. Dr. Frey Huang, the general manager of the KASC, led the colleagues (from 1950 to 1964) to go through the hardship and bring the KASC to its top. The characteristics of Dr. Frey Huang's leadership were: 1. the flexibility of manufacture process; 2. good interpersonal relationships to raise funds; 3. accurate investment; 4. emphasis on personnel training; 5. coordination of governmental policies.
