Based on “Zhu Qian” and from the local perspective, this paper focuses on thecontext of literary practice and cultural situation in the historical experience of ZhuQian area. This paper proceeds to discuss the writing of eight natural landscapes andprivate gardens during the Ching Dynasty, historical memory in “Beipu” literatureduring the Japanese Colonial Period and National Government Period, and “Hisinchu”contemporary writing co-constructed by city, culture, and nature. “Memory” is the perceivedconsciousness of the past. “Space” is the medium to define and re-define history.Either “traditional Zhu Qian” or “modern Hsinchu” has its own cultural memory andunique local narrative. From the discussion of literary writing of the local imaginationand interpretation, this paper hopes to find a way to narrate Zhu Qian’s collective historicalmemory. |
