The aim of this paper is based on institutional and spatial perspectives to examine Taiwan's hi-tech industrial development and policy in the growing process of globalization development. It explores the labor division network of world hi-tech industries in the globalization, investigates Taiwan's status of export economic and hi-tech industrial developments in the global network of labor division, and examines Taiwan's hi-tech industrial policy and its argument failures. Furthermore, the spatial governance institutions of innovation for upgrading Taiwan's structural competitiveness and status in the world economic system, are also discussed in this paper. |
