The purpose of this study was to analyze the dietary behaviors affected by the attributes of college students in northern Taiwan. A survey questionnaire using Likert scale was distributed to conduct quantitative research. The content of questionnaire including three major categories: genera] dietary behavior, lipid intake, and food label and purchase motive. Sampling period was from September to December, 2007. Twenty-three universities or colleges were selected from northern part of Taiwan, and 875 valid questionnaires were completed by participated students in this study. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, and Pearson correlation. The results showed that dietary behavior of female college students was more correct than that of male ones, especially on lipid intakes aspect ( p < 0.001 ). The elder and the higher grade caused the poor general dietary behavior. The higher the monthly living and daily food expenses caused the poor three categories and the whole dietary behaviors. |
