First, we talk about the differences of 'Zi-gu'(紫姑)in the texts between the Song Dynasty and the ages before it. Then, we make a thorough about the reasons of the changes and the gender problems in them. From the Six Dynasties period to the Song Dynasty, the image of 'Zi-gu' is from a peasant woman to a goddess and a gifted woman. At the same time, the disappointed scholars treat her as the vehicle of expressing the emotion. Although Zi-gu's identity is promoted, but she is still a noiseless existence. She is not only the scholars' vehicle of expressing, but also their images about the perfect ladies. |
