Library and information professionals got a chance to hone their skills this summer during a series of workshops organized by the Library Association of China from July 2 to August 31.
The 11 workshops, each running from three to five days, were hosted by the NCL and the library and social education departments of leading universities in Taiwan. Topics covered included: file management (hosted by National Chengchi University from July 2 to 6); libraries and network resource utilization (Shih Hsin University, July 9 to 13); knowledge management (National Taiwan University, July 9 to 13); organization and arrangement of library resources (NCL, July 16 to 20); library operation affairs (National Chungshing University, July 16 to 20); knowledge organization and analysis (Shih Hsin University, July 16 to 20); e-library services and promotion (National Taiwan Normal University, July 16 to 20); e-resource organization and operations (NCL, July 23 to 25); digital resources and e-libraries (NCL, July 30 to August 3); librarian regulations (NCL, August 14 to 16); and introduction to multimedia technology and library applications (Tamkang University, August 27 to 31). |
