The Association for Asian Studies (AAS) held its 52nd annual meeting on March 9 to 12 in San Diego, California. The four-day event featured 217 forums and more than 520 papers, as well as over 150 discussion groups and activities. A book fair was also held in conjunction with the meeting, attracting over 100 exhibitors and 144 booths.
As an AAS member, the NCL regularly sends delegates to the annual meeting and takes part in the book fair. This year, the library was represented by Ms. Yu-chen Ma (馬佑真) and Ms. Chin-mei Luo (羅金梅). The NCL displayed books published last year in the ROC and the Center for Chinese Studies showcased over 470 titles on Taiwan history. The wide selection and high quality of the volumes earned considerable praise from fairgoers. |
