The purpose of this study was to explore the college students' leisure satisfaction based on gender, school systems, grades, departments, accommodation, leisure activities participation, frequencies of exercising, recreational partners and expenses on recreation. A modified questionnaire was employed. There were total of 1,400 copies distributed island-wide, among them 1278 were returned (return rate: 91.3) and 1046 were effective (effective rate: 81.9). The data was analyzed by using multivariate analysis. The following results were obtained: 1. among the college students' leisure satisfaction, the ”social and relaxational” dimension scored the highest, and the followings were ”educational and psychological,” ”physiological” and ”aesthetic.” As a whole, the score of leisure satisfaction were higher than mid-value, showing that the activities were live up to their expectations. 2. Under the different backgrounds, the leisure satisfaction among gender, school systems, leisure activities participation, and frequencies of exercising were obviously different. On the other hand, under the variable grades, departments, recreational partners, and accommodation expenses on recreation, there was no significant difference. According to this study, we could make strategies based on characteristics of students from different background to enhance the participation; in addition, to help improve the leisure environment to enrich students' leisure life. |
