A total of 100 samples including 66 hamburgers and 34 meat sandwiches were collected during the period between September 1995 and April 1996 in the areas of Kaoshung and Pingtung. The stores that were examined contained fast food stores, regular breakfast shops and street venders. The inspection was Sonducted nuder the Chinese National Standard and GNI identification card from VITEK automatic microbiological identification system to proceed biochemical tests. The final results showed no samples to be contaminated by enterovirulent Escherichia coli. |
