英文摘要 |
This article compares two editions of Wang Yangming's王陽明 (1472-1529) chronicle (年譜nianpu). The nianpu included in the later Complete Works (王交成公全書) was edited by Wang's pupil, Qian Dehong錢德洪 (1496-1574), in order to allow his master the honor of having his tablet placed in the Confucian temple for sacrificial rites. The two different nianpu were each compiled in accordance with the current accepted standards; in order to extricate his master from contemporary criticism, Qian altered the earlier Jiajing嘉靖, version's account of Wang's achievements, scholarship and career, in order to bring the man described in the Complete Works into line with the contemporary standard for a ”true” Confucian master. |
