The result revealed that experiment group answered correctly more than 76% questions in the test of exercise knowledge. It was obvious that behavior change and self-efficacy of the experiment group had significantly, but exercise knowledge showed no significantly difference between the two groups. However, among all the questions, the three ones included “The principle of regular exercise is to exercise 3 times each week, 30 minutes each time, and the times of heartbeat should reach 130 times per minute.” “Regular exercise helps reduce triglyceride (the fat in blood).” and “Walking 10,000 steps every day contributes to one’s health.” the answering performance of the experiment group was superior to the other. In conclusion, the intervention of regular exercise program benefited community elders both on behavior change and on self-efficacy, so popularizing the elder regular exercise program was suggested. |
