This study explored the sources of job stress for healthcare workers and their intent to leave the job. This was a cross-sectional study using a self-administered questionnaire to collect data from healthcare workers, including nurses, pharmacists, and laboratory and radiology technicians, working in three regional teaching hospitals in central Taiwan. Logistic regression analysis showed that age, education level, years of work, employment type, job type, rewards, work variety, and psychological demand were all significant predictors of intention to leave. Hospital administrators should foster a healthy working environment by designing individualized job stress prevention programs and utilizing a management model based on different job types to promote the retention of healthcare workers. |
