The high-rise outdoor operations such as window washing, painting, reeling and maintenance normally require the use of gondola. Therefore, safety design features and ease of operation are of high concerns. Since gondola is hanging high above the support point, vibration, imbalance, shakiness caused by the activities or the unpredictable wind from the surrounding will result in unsafe conditions. Therefore, it is the focus of this study to develop a stabilizing device to promote safer high-rise outdoor operations of the gondola. |
