The school-based community adult education is an effective access to community lifelong learning. Elementary schools are the best sites for community adult education. The reason is the prevalence and the stability of their staff, facilities, and place. Based on the above advantages, it is important to investigate how cooperative style promotes community adult education and achieves resource sharing and regional integration. The method of this study mainly adopts field-interview and mailing questionnaires based on consensus style. The subjects consist of 77 public elementary school in Kaohsiung City. The collected data are analyzed with percentage and Chisquare test:Eight conclusions are obtained as follows:in order to satisfy the community residents’ needs in lifelong learning, the elementary schools in each area should be the place to hold the activities for community adult education. According to the laws, the elementary schools in each area have the obligation to promote community adult education. It is important to plan appropriate policies to build communities as schools and to help schools become learning communities. To make good use of learning resources, to integrate all kinds of practice methods, and to promote active community adult education are vital to a successful communities lifelong learning. |
