早期前列腺癌患者接受高劑量率後荷式近接療程之生理照護

Physical Care of Early Prostate Cancer Patients with High Dose Rate Brachytherapy

早期前列腺癌的高劑量率後荷式近接治療是直接將高劑量放射線射源置入前列腺中，可避免周圍組織傷害並減少副作用。治療當天，病患需先至手術室放置近接治療針，再進行共三次的高劑量率後荷式近接療程。治療過程中護理人員需提供諸多護理措施以維持病患心臟血管、呼吸、排泄等系統的功能。此外，可透過疼痛處置及謹慎的翻身活動來緩解病患之不適。住院期間尚需教導其居家自我照顧相關事項。本文主要在說明這些生理照護的重點與技能，以供臨床護理人員參考。High Dose Rate Brachytherapy(HDR) for early prostate cancer patients is to implant the high dose radiation source into the prostate gland directly. This procedure can decrease the radiation injury of surrounding tissue and reduce the morbidity rate. While the treatment is being given, the nurses will keep continually monitoring the patient's cardiovascular and respiratory function. The goal of this article is to summarize the physical nursing care for HDR.
