This study applied TELES (Taiwan Earthquake Loss Estimate System), using peak ground acceleration estimate and earthquake sink estimate, so that the estimate model showed structures damages loss evaluation and life-time evaluation results. Besides in Gushan district in Kaohsiung City was selected as a case study for urban disaster prevention spatial system planning. And Google Earth, a powerful and free open GIS platform, was used for improving the traditional hazard map preparation and update efficiency. However the public participation idea was also introduced with this user friendly system development and was put into action for sustainable disaster prevention planning. |
