This research compared the differences of dyslexia and normal children on phonemic awareness, word awareness and tone awareness. There were three main goals in this study: 1.To compares the performance on three different kinds of awareness between two groups. 2. To understand the relationship between phonemic awareness, word awareness and tone awareness. 3. To analyze the predictive power of phonological tests to predict reading ability of dyslexia children. It was found that there was a significant difference on three phonological tests between normal children and dyslexia children. For both groups, the phonemic awareness was significant rotated to tome awareness. In addition, the tone awardees and phonemic awareness were the powerful predictor of Chinese reading. |
