Under the shadow of the low birthrate crisis, part of schools in Taiwan are facing short enrollment. One of routes to solve this problem is to enroll students from other countries. The cooperation memorandum between Taiwan and Vietnam was thus signed in 2003. Since then, the policy to attract international students to study in Taiwan has held. While the international students have increased, the numbers of local students diminish dramatically. Therefore, how to export our technological and vocational education to sustain the schools in Taiwan should be thought carefully. Viewing from the blossom of the economy in Vietnam and the large investment in the business enterprise by Taiwanese, the demand of skilled workforce is very high. Hence, this article analyzed the current policies of vocational education in Vietnam and provides the preliminary strategies for Taiwan to export technological and vocational education to Vietnam. |
