Contemporary political theory has been discussing how are multicultural nations remain its political development and integrate the inner societal integration simultaneously based on the divided cultural and multi-value traditions. As a newcomer state in Asia in the post-war era, Singapore has successfully achieved independence from the British colonialism and marvelous political-economic status and multicultural society. We might therefore wonder how Singapore has achieved these successfully. This paper tries to outline the development of constitutional system in Singapore from the view of separation of powers and reflect the possible limitations and challenges within it. |
