本研究依美國高爾夫協會(United States Golf Association,USGA)與皇家古典聖安卓俱樂部(Royal and Ancient Golf Club,R & A)頒布的球具規範,探討桿頭外型設計與球桿材質應用的發展趨勢。大桿頭大甜蜜點、桿頸偏移、凹背鍛造桿頭、崁入複合材料、可調角等皆為桿頭設計趨勢的重點;球桿材質為達操控與遠距的雙重目的,趨於重視機械性質的組合、配重塊應用、不同桿頭搭配不同強度、延伸率組合等。綜合探討後結論為:木桿為達遠距與薄型化大桿頭,多採用質輕密度高的鈦合金;注重穩定與操控性的鐵桿,則以延伸率高的鍛造軟鐵為主;推桿著重於打感與桿頭平穩,材料選擇以較軟的金屬或橡膠為主。 |

The aim of this study is to analyze the trends in golf club head development in terms of shape and club material design according to the specifications of the United States Golf Association and the Royal and Ancient Golf Club. The main trends of design for club head shape are as follows: A bigger club head with larger sweet spot, hosel offset, forged cavity back iron, embedded composite materials, and adjustable angles. In order to achieve better control and long distance performance, the main points for metal material design include: A combination of mechanical properties, using weight blocks, and club heads with different mechanical strength and extensibility. The conclusions are: the major metal for woods is titanium alloy for a thinner club head shape and long distance shots. The iron requires stability and controllability, so its major metal is soft forged iron. The club head materials for putters are soft metals or rubber for touch and stability. |
