Improving sport performance is one of the important issues for sport psychologist. A variety of psychological skill training program are developed based on the assumption of stabilizing athlete's psychological and emotional states. However, controlling individual psycho-physiological attributes in optimal state might have further benefits for athletes. Recently, the concept: Quiet eye has raised more and more attention, and has been demonstrated its positive effect on attention and sport performance. In the present article, the theories and research results of quiet eye, as well as the positive influence of quiet eye on sport performance were discussed, furthermore, a possible quiet eye training program for receiving service in tennis was also proposed. |
