This research applied a FOPTOP system observation method to analyze preschool educators' teaching patterns during 30-minute-gross-motor-movement course. Four preschool educators from a public kindergarten located in New Taipei City District were recruited to participate in this study. The research was concluded as followed: (1) Preschool educators spent more time on teaching than nonteaching. (2) In teaching categories, these educators focused on mass activity instruction. However, testing was the only category not showing in their teaching patterns. (3) In nonteaching categories, these educators used managerial functions, and percentage of this category is inversely correlated with their teaching experience. |
