The participants were the public junior high school teachers in Taoyuan. By using a stratified cluster sampling method, 380 respondents (78.8% response rate) were selected as the subjects in the survey. The data were collected with self-administrated questionnaire in 102 schoolyear. The results were as follows: 1. The confidence of the self-efficacy for exercise of the subjects is about 50%.The social support for exercise is high.The perceived benefits of exercise are pretty high. The perceived barriers of exerciseare in about middle degree. The perceived exercise enjoyment is over middle degree. 2. Exercise was positively correlated with 'self-efficacy of exercise', 'social support for exercise', 'perceived benefits of exercise', 'perceived exercise enjoyment'. Exercise was negatively correlated with 'perceived barriers of exercise'. 3. The background variables and the social-mental variables can effectively predict the exercise behavior and explain 45.3% of the total variance, including 'gender', 'exercise experience in the past', 'self-efficacy of exercise', and 'perceived exercise enjoyment'. The most significant variable is 'self-efficacy of exercise'. Based on the results of this study, recommendations are provided for future research. |
