Recently under the guidance and enforcement of the Ministry of Education, ”service-learning” is widely developed in the universities and colleges of Taiwan, and also becomes the main issue of the holistic-education and character-education. Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) runs the ”Service-Learning” program for a lot years, many academic departments deliver ”service-learning” based courses for their students, and the Center for General Education also deliver a ”service-learning” course for all students. This study focuses on the ”service-learning” course delivered by the Center for General Education of CYCU, tries to analyze the preparation, course conduction, project design, project evaluation, course evaluation, difficulty, and critical success factors. The findings of this study will be offered to those who are going to teach ”service-learning” course as reference, and to those who are going to implement ”service-learning” program in academics. It is expected to achieve the key task of academic education to improve students' professional capability and also social care and responsibility via ”service-learning” course in university and college. |
