Self-disclosure of individual mental-disturbances is the special domain. The purpose of this study was to develop the scale of distress disclosure for college students. The subjects were assessed by group measurements in which 94 (pretest group) and 1,540 (final test) copies questionnaire were valid. We used instruments were structural questionnaires, including distress disclosure questionnaire made by researchers, and Kahn & Hessling’s (2001) questionnaire. The data was analyzed by SPSS12.0 and AMOS 5.0, through item analysis, product-moment correlation, and confirmatory factor analysis. The results obtained were as follows. The reliability of internal consistency and validity of instrument for distress disclosure were good. The structural equation modeling of distress disclosure had sufficient goodness-of-fit. Based on the above findings, the instrument of distress disclosure is offered for counseling practices in colleges. |
