影響臺灣地區刑案發生率之社經因素－－控制固定效應之空間分析，2001-2010

The influence of socioeconomic factors on crime rates in Taiwan: Control fixed effect of space analysis in the 2000s

本研究蒐集近十年臺灣地區相關社經因素及刑案發生率資料，運用空間探索、空間計量方法及空間迴歸分析，試圖控制地理區位上時間與空間異質因素，瞭解社經背景因素對刑案發生率的影響程度，找出真正影響臺灣地區近十年刑案發生率的因子。研究發現，失業率等經濟條件因素及教育環境因素對刑案發生率影響程度並不明顯，社會結構、社會福利及對警政工作的投資等因素才是影響刑案發生率高低的關鍵。

The study collected socioeconomic factors and crime rates in Taiwan in the 2000s. By using methods of space exploration, space measurement and spatial regression analysis, trying to control the geographic location on time and spatial heterogeneity factors ,and to understand the the impact of socio-economic background factors on criminal rates, and finally, to identify the real factors which influence the crime rates in Taiwan in the 2000s . The study found that the economic conditions such as unemployment rates, and student–teacher ratio have no significant effect on crime rates. The investments of social structure, social welfare, and policing is the key impact of crime rates .
