The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the elementary school principals' leadership competence by applying the fuzzy synthetic multiple assessment method. Firstly, the researcher uses the “Fuzzy Delphi Method” to collect the experts' opinions and viewpoints on the evaluation indicators of the elementary school principals' leadership competences in order to obtain the effective evaluation indicators. Secondly, the researcher applies the “Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Proccess” to build the weight of the evaluation indicators. Finally, the author conducts the fuzzy synthetic multiple assessment of principals' leadership competence with examples from three principals. The result shows that the synthetic multiple assessment provides good indicators of the three principals' leadership competence and that fuzzy distribution and percentile system can be used to represent the level of the leadership competence. The researcher compares it with traditional weighted average method. The study demonstrates that the fuzzy synthetic multiple assessment method is more practical and objective than the traditional weighted average method. |
